# Changing Team Member Availability

{% hint style="info" %}
Follow the below steps only if you want to change the availability of another user in your account.

If you are the user and you yourself want to change the availability of yours then go to calendar settings > availability settings and change it.
{% endhint %}

#### 1. Click on Settings and Go to My Staff

#### 3. Go to User Availability

P.S. User availability takes precedence over all kinds of availability in Synamate.

Example: If the user's availability is 10AM to 2 PM and the calendar availability of that user is set to 9 AM to 5 PM. The slots available in the calendar will only show between 10AM to 2 PM.

#### 4. Edit the Available hours of the users and Save.

Only Admins will have access to edit this information.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.synamate.com/docs/synamate-modules/appointment-booking/other-tutorials-for-calendars/changing-team-member-availability.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
